315/35/17 nittos....questions

I am puttin these nittos on my stock 17x9 WS6 wheels for the back. The 315's will be used on street and never switched out for the track. (The cav is my daily driver). So should i just get a stock set of 275/45/17 for the front?

275's are a great size for the front. I'm running the Nitto street tires up front, and DR's in the back. The back only has 275's at this time, but the tread's just about gone. I'll either get 275s again, but the street tire (since it's my daily driver), or I'll get 315 DR's.

No, it's a 40 series up front.

275/40s and 315/35s will be the same height as stock, so you don't need to worry about anything.

will 315's actually fit on a 17X9 rim? will it rub or anything?
i heard you shouldn't go over 285's, or something close to that anyway.

Technically, they will fit. Fit well? Not exactly.

I've seen a few cars with 315s on 9" rims and while they didn't look too bad, you really don't get any more traction than you would with 275s.

As far as rubbing, I don't think it would. Now, if they were on an 11" rim like they should be, then there's about a 50/50 chance you have of it rubbing (greater if you only have a Z28 compared to SS or TA)

so the tire peels over the rim A LIL. Badass =) so 40 series upfront and 35 in back. Sweet. Thats my next set then.

NEXT QUESTION: Nittos or BF Drag Radials. Nittos are 20 bucks more in jegs. Looked up some ratings and it said BF got some ****ty tread wear and suck in the rain while the nittos performed a lil better. Anyone got some first hand experience?

BFG's should be a track-only tire. They wear way too quickly to drive on the street. You're just not getting your money's worth. People put anywhere from 10-20 on Nitto DR's. They're better on the street, better tread, better in the rain, and people have cut 1.6x 60's with them.

As far as 255/315.... nah, that'll look a little weird
