I have a 00 z28 6 speed and i was wondering if i had different gears in my car i was told the women changed them, they say she put 4.10?? So at 50mph in fifth gear i am pullin bout 1500 rpms?? Am just wondering wat gears it does have they may even be stock.

 

stock gears are 3.42. Only way to tell is if the speedo is accurate. you might need someone to pace you when you do this.

1500rpm is 45mph in my stock geared 99Z


4.10s in 5th gear at 50mph you'd be doing 2000rpm

 

For a rough estimate, go 80 MPH in 4th gear (or 3rd if you have an auto) and look at your tach. The number on your tach roughly represents your gear ratio (assuming you're using around a 26" tire height) 4100 rpm at 80 mph in 4th (1:1 gear) = 4.10 gear, etc.
