LOL I had people say the same thing, I ended up getting a ooogah horn that is so gay that it's laughable. But they had manly stuff like air horns there too.

I'm confused as to how a horn can really sound "gay"? Does it have a lisp?
Anyway, if you want the ultra cheap way of getting a new horn that is loud, but sounds factory, take one off of a Caprice. They practicaly bolt right in place of the old one.

The tone and the volume of the stock horn is weak even compared to other factory horns and is especially out of place on a muscle car.

There's suppose to be two horns... a low and a high. I've read alot of people that had the low horn go out cause of water or whatnot, leaving them with only the wimpy sounding high horn.

Horn? Whats this horn crap?

Here do what I do, get a cut-out and If you need to "honk" at someone pop into netural and then gun it to 6.5K. Trust me, the SUV's not only move over, they have to pull over to comfort their loved ones that they are all right. And the people ahead heard your "horn" too, they are already clearing the way.

Here is my own personal rule of thumb for exhaust.
If you can actually hear your own horn, then your exhaust is too restricted.

I don't really like the horn either. My horn especially doesn't fit my black beast. Where can we buy horns online that sound cool? A friend of mine has a dixie song horn on his 70 GTO, and I want a roar or maybe some type of raptor bird screech.

J C Whitney for the funky horns.

If you just want replacement dual toned horns, try a junk yard or auto parts store for a new set. Want something that really screams? Get an old 6v horn and hit it w/ 12v.

I thought the same thing about my horn. So I went to pepboys and bought air horns, like the rigs have. You wanna get someone out of your way, lay on those for a couple seconds. ;]
