I was getting 24 mpg in my 97 T/A A4 with full exhaust. Now a 99 Z28 M6 should be a big improvement in gas mileage over the 97 T/A.

On the highway I get anywhere from 24-25mpg, that's with an auto. In the city I've gotten as low as 12, but it's usually around 17.

I think the worst I ever had was about ~175 miles on a tank of gas, and the best ever (just recently actually, and only ever happened once) was 310 miles (500 kms). My absolute "average" seems to be around ~230 miles per tank though, and normally ranges anywhere from 210 - 250. I don't know what that is in MPG though!

Normally get 300-310 miles per tank. (~14 gallons for fill-up) best was 350, worst 280.

Uhhhh .... are you sure that you don't have a Canadian car and that's really kilometers?

I know................I can barely make 350 km sometimes on a tank, let alone 350 miles?!?!! Like I said above, 310 miles was the absolute best I ever got with my car, but that was pretty much all highway, and I was actually driving "responsibly" for a change. I don't think it's even physically possible for my car to get 350 miles unless I was driving downhill and/or in neutral the whole time?!

I've always wanted to hit the 400 mile mark on a tank but just can't do it unless I were to stop driving like a mad man, take a long road trip, or maybe have a spare gallon or two to counteract my fear of running out. I hit about 380 miles once. Now I have a spreadsheet and keep exact calculations of my mileage. Average per tank will vary between 18 and 23 mpg, but I always accelerate full throttle, every light, every toll booth. That's what makes me smile. It's worth the gas.

I have the same story. Getting about 14mpg or about 200 miles per tank. Car is on warranty, but dealership told me that everything is perfect with engine. So if you finde anything interesting post it here.

Ihave done the b2 chemtool cleaner as was suggested by a fellow member and i did a motor flush, and i did the mystery oil crap and i have done almost everything in a bottle that is supposed to inprove milage. But it all doesnt matter. I have a 98 and i have a smaller tank then you i think its 14.5 but ne way i got 240 miles out of a tank yesterday but that was filled to capacity, and i ran it far below E which isnt good cause of the fuel pump
sorry it didn't work for ya. It certainly did for me. I saw 4mpg gain in city and 3mpg gain in freeway for a new average of 18/21.
And the 98 tanks are 15.5 gallons.
99-up are 16.8 gallons.

Is there something wrong with the car? Does it need to get tuned? the only mods i have are bolt ons which shouldnt really affect gas mileage. My car is a daily driver with majority of driving on the highway. Ive tried fuel system cleaner, no result. WHATS GOIN ON IN MY LS1
I'd try getting rid of the SLP air module, they do absolutely nothing. It could throw off your mixture (maybe to rich, and not burning it all), causing bad mileage. Just a thought.

I usually get 17-18 in town, 19 a couple of times because I drove like grandpa(it was raining). On the highway I usually get 22-23 and I drive about 80-85 MPH. I think the secret to good gas mileage is keeping your foot out of it. I ran down the 1/8 dragstrip about 15 times combined with aggresive driving dropped my MPG to 14. I have an A4 with the 3.23 rear
