Does anyone ever have trouble when you gas up your car ? Sometimes the gas just won't go in and spashes back insteadand then I have to try another gas station.Does this ever happen to anyone else?Is there a way to stop it ???
I've never had it splash back out, but at some gas stations it stops pumping as if the tank were full when it's empty. At times like that, you just pull the plastic housing around the nozzle back towards the handle and it will pour. If it splashes back out, you either don't have the nozzle in or something is wrong.
Right...I guess I should've worded that differently. The gas won't go in at gas stations that use the plastic sleeve that covers the metal part of the nozzle. It just keeps shutting off like the gas tank is full when it's not and if you try to pump the gas in anyway it overflows a little. It's happened to me before and today to the gas station attendant. It doesn't happen at stations that don't have the plastic sleeve but more and more stations are getting them and it's getting to be a real pain.I'll try pulling the sleeve back manually next time and see if that helps. Thanks
LOL, My theory is that the vapors are more built up(heat sloshing) in the close to or empty tank. And are coming out quick when start fueling. So the new pumps think the fuel is close to top by the high amount vapors coming out.Which the pumps read those vapors to determine where fuel is cuse the liquid(fuel) as it reaches top forces all air(vapors)out of tank even faster as it gets in tube inlet.measured and stopped.
By holding the foreskin back it cant get a reading.lol
