Futral F14 cam questions

from what i read in older posts, this cam is a streetable cam that has a lot of potential. this is going to go into my 02 trans am. how is the idle characteristics of this cam? i dont want the car dying when i come to a stop or when in neutral. also, will this cam produce enough vacuum to supply the power brakes? would anyone recommend the type of valve springs i should use? i currently have crane cams 1.75 roller rockers. can i re-use those or go back to stock? is this cam really aggressive where i would have to replace my valvesprings often? will i need any fuel mods to run this cam? i have all the bolt ons so that part is covered. this is also an M6. this is also going to go on stock heads for now. thanks

Let me try and make this simple:

Idle is a little on the choppy side, but that's to be expected with a 23x duration camshaft.

It'll supply more than enough vaccuum. I had absolutely no problem even with the F-15 on my stock motor.

I really like the Patriot Golds over any other valvespring. I'm using them on my 408. If not those, then the PRC Duals.

Valvesprings on ANY moderately aggressive aftermarket cam combo carry the potential of having to be replaced at around 25000 miles +/- .

You can use the 1.75 rockers on your setup with no problems. Total lift will be .615 instead of .598.

On a 2002 car, you already have 28# injectors, so you won't need to do any fuel mods until you do a head swap. Then you can use the 30# SVO injectors (which act similar to 36# at LS1 pressure).

You already have the LS6 intake on your car, so the only other supporting mod that will benefit you maybe 5-7 rwhp would be porting the throttle body.

The cam will work fine with the stock 3.42 gearing, but will really excel if you stick some 3.90s or 4.10s in there

Drive-ability is in the tune. The secret is setting the timing and the tables that control the IAC appropriately. Then, you can eliminate 95% of the surging associated with an cam'd car.
