Hey guys, there is a "chirping" or squeaking noise coming from what sounds like under the driverside valve cover on my 00SS. It's not making noise at idle, only under accelleration. Anyone have any idea what this might be?

 

I am clueless and my firends 98 is making the same sound but under the pass. side. Kinda lika a bird chirping sound.

 

Sound like a belt noise. The serpentine is chirping instead of hissing! Probably a tensioner problem or some foreign substance on the belt or pullies.

 

to see if it is the belt or not, just pull the belt and run it for a few seconds(less than 30 seconds===remember, no w/p)

 

I watched the video blk lt1 posted and it's the samething but not as loud. Mines coming from the rear drivers side and it's definetly coming from the under the valve cover.
