front brake pad difference in 1999 vs 2001?

I just bought front calipers from a 2001 Formula, and need to buy new pads. On gmpartsdirect the ACDelco pads for a 1999 are half as much as those for a 2001 - $36.71 vs $75.29. The part number for the 1999 pads is 18038574, for the 2001 pads is 18026298. Does anyone know what the difference is?

Thanks,
Patrick

Just to follow up, I ordered the cheaper ones. The only difference between the cheaper ones and the pads that were already on there was that the cheaper ones had one slot down the center, the others have two slots. I guess they charge $37/slot

That is interesting. I have worked on '98, '99 and '01 F-body brakes and they all look the same. I have the stock pads from my '98 and my '01 and will check them out tomorrow.
