Flowtech cut-out?
Flowtech cut-out?
Everyone is telling me cut outs are a very good, cheap mod so I went ahead and ordered one. Its a flowtech 3 inch with the 3 wingnuts. How is this gonna make my car sound since I already have a flowmaster catback? What kinda installation price will I get from a shop? Thanks
Re: Flowtech cut-out?
It'll sound good
You can find some soundclips over on www.ls1sounds.com . Installation price will vary from $25 - $ 60 depending on the shop you take it to.

Re: Flowtech cut-out?
You will like the sound. I used to have my Flowmaster with a cutout in the I-pipe under the rear passenger side seat. I loved it, it was a lot louder than the Flowmaster itself. You dont want to cap it back up. A typical shop will charge $30-$70 for install.
Re: Flowtech cut-out?
With it closed the car will sound the same - and much louder uncapped. Some like it, some don't. Think I paid $25 to have mine welded in a couple years ago - mine's open most of the time.

(depending on mods, and their current cat-back systems).
