Question Fixin to install new wires and plugs.. Questions

First of all, I decided to go with NGK TR55's and Taylor Spiro Pro 8mm's.. My questions are these:

1. Do I need to re-install the factory heat shields on the wires?

and

2. Are the NGK TR55's pre-gapped?

Let me know guys, thanks in advance.

1. no you dont have to re-install the factory heat shields

2. the NGK TR55's are pre-gapped at .54
the factory gap is .60 but i think a lot of people run the TR55 at around .54

FYI, you don't have to put on the heat shields, but they do fit and I don't see how it could hurt.

heat shields

Well just for the record, the Taylor wires don't fit into the factory heat shields. Let's just hope I don't need 'em.
