It make 415 to the wheels. 490 * 0.85 (15% drivetrain loss) = 416.5 to the wheels, so you can assume around 490 horsepower.

As far as drivability, it's a kitten.... a very loud kitten.

It has a moderate 232/234 @.050" camshaft, which is basically a 282 duration advertised. It's my only car and had 100 mile daily commuting duties for a year.

Careful, he is gonna call it a "408" motor since thats his definition of anything with a more-aggressive-than-stock cam in it

I wish I knew how to do those video clips so I can convince Wheelman that I actually have a 396/402 SS 69 Camaro. My car just has 2 chamber flowmaster's running out through the side.It sounds like it has alot of Cam but its a 595/595 lift Solid lifter Cam.I never got stopped for having a loud exhaust because the car was done nice and I guess the Cops liked the car just like everybody else.Like I said before I want something that draws much less attention. An aggressive sounding exhaust is what I still like.I don't drive it anymore because its not registered or insured. The last thing is I know an LS! can be installed in the 69 but that is going to cost me more money without unloading the car.For people that have money to play with, then I could see it.For me Im tired of driving old car's around. My Buick T-Type is starting to fall apart and I will have to get that attented too soon.

Is there any real difference between the 98 and 02 LS1??I know the 02 comes with the LS6 Intake. Also your mods are just a Cam and Gear's and Exhaust??Cam sounds great.I don't like going to big on the cam because I have with my 69 and it sucks to get to Idle and Im sure it kills gas mileage. I assume that you put a LS6 Intake on.My mind is made up.I just have to sell my 69 SS Camaro but the market is still slow for those cars. I lowered it again. If I go any lower I may as well sell it as a parts car.

No cats on any of my performance cars.

Mods are listed in my sig. I have an LS6 intake manifold, but have the stock injectors and fuel pump.

Yeah I never leave the Cats on.Don't have to worry about the 69 but also on my 87 T-Type I don't have a Cat on that either. In my state I don't think its required.Im thinking if I can't get a good deal on my 69 Camaro why not install an LS! into that car.I know it will just cost so much more money because I wouldn't do it myself.I wouldn't even know where to start. Also the 98-02 Camaro's still handle better then the first Generation Camaro's.I can't believe that Im not getting serious offers and the offers I get are from scumbags that just call without seeing the car and tell me they would buy the car for there own price.Id rather keep it in storage and buy an LS1 before I sell the 69.thats not the way I wanted to do it though.

98-00 has a slightly more aggressive cam, 01-02 has the ls6 intake. My first few runs in my m6 I went 13.3 on street tires with not so great driving and horrible track prep. Car also needed a tune up, oil change, etc. Next time at the track (much better track) went 13.0 first run. Only mods were cat-back, lid, maf/bellows, and free mods. My ls1 was always a bit faster than my friends ls1's with comparable mods even 01-02's (maybe it was the driver ) but to note something we did find that my intake had been replaced with an ls6 from the previous owner. So i'm guessing the ls6 intake + the more aggressive cam from the 99 actually made quite a difference. I could have easily gone 12's if I got more runs that day but that was the only one .
