finnaly got an 01 ss

i cant get a pic up for somereason but its a 2001 ss with 51000 mls red with leather and 6 speed only paid 11000!! has slp loudmouth and smooth bellows and throttlebody

Congratulations! Price is a little steep, hopefully it's in really good shape and you found a 6spd that's always a plus. Time for some mods now

yeah its in excellent condition the paint is flawless and the intrior is like new, it is a 6 speed. im planning on geting a set of long tubes first for mods, i allredy have the slp loudmouth. what headers do yall recomend? i looked at the slp headers but they run 1400$! that seems steep

Yeah they run for $1400 AND they have horrible clearance, there's a deal right now http://speed-eng.com/store/pacesette...gr-p-3067.html pacesetter LT's for $274.00, those are best bang for the buck headers, they work pretty good.

wow that is a huge price diff! sounds lkike a better deal to me. i will check it out. do you know anything about cams/heads? i want something that will give me good power and i want that lopy cam sound without loosing streetability.

Just remember that those Pacesetter LT's aren't ceramic coated, you can either buy their coated headers (i think an extra $100) or you can coat them yourself. I'm in the process of doing heads and cam as we speak, i went with this package from texas speed http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item...d=203&catid=15 with the gasket kit and head bolts it costed me 1800 shipped. The package also comes with a cam, i went with the torquer V.2 232/234 which will be just perfect for the street.

Yeah i'll be posting results and videos once i'm all done, might be a couple of months though i'm doing a few other things to the car.
