Finally got my block back..........

I've felt like Katt Williams in American Pimp the last 3 wks,(Wait for it Wait for it) But I got my heads and block back today. Now I need a set of LS2 valve covers. Does anybody make aftermarket covers or am I gonna have to go dumpster divin? And any trouble with the coil packs going on them? But... I have the rest. I think. 10 over block;coated pistons;MS3 cam and install kit; Pacesetter LT's with neweraperf. 3" Y pipe;Ram Suregrip clutch;LS2 timing chain;LS6 oil pump; 'puter tuned bt TSP. Hopefully it will all turn out pretty good. any info about the covers would be appreciated.

Why do you think you need "LS2" valve covers?

And if you're still using your stock 98 coils, you have no choice but to stay with the 97/98 LS1 valve covers.

LS2 heads

Im putting a set of LS2 heads on . Thats why I need the covers. They are centerbolt covers and the Ls1 is a perimeter bolt. I found a set on ebay and Im going to bid on them I guess if I cant find them locally. Thanks for the info.

LS2 heads use the same centerbolt valve covers that the 99-04 LS1 uses. Only the 97-98 LS1 had perimeter bolt. Just get a set of centerbolt LS1 covers. You'll need the 99+ ignition coils too, as your perimeter valve cover mounted coils will not work with the later style valve cover.

That's what I was thinking.

Valve covers

I got a set of valve covers. The local Chevy dealer said they could order a bracket to mount my coils onto the LS2 covers. Is this possible or are they tryin to make quota for the month? On a good point, the motor is together and bolted to the suspension and fixin to go back in

You can make the 97/98 coils work with a 99+ coil bracket.
