Finally got a 4th gen

I've been the long time owner of a 1986 Camaro ever since I built it back in high school. Well after a few unfortunate events (rubber brake hose failing, rod thrown...) I decided to pick up a 2001 Z28 Camaro.

Out with the old:

In with the new:

1 owner car with 60,000 miles on it. Clean history and title, only noticeable imperfections are the ground effects on the driver side, missing lug nut, a missing radio ****, and a missing speaker grille. Picked up the LS1 I always wanted and only paid $6500!

Already am! I always wanted an LS1 for my 3rd gen but just couldn't justify the expense on that car as it needed suspension work, a bigger rear end, and rear disc brakes for the power the LS1 would have put on it.

In the end I'm happy with the 4th gen. It feels like my 3rd gen...just better

Your 3rd gen looks to be in great condition. I wouldn't give up on it just yet. Maybe use it as a back up when the problems are fixed.

Awesome car - pretty rare too! The Z28 with the Aero package was only a little cheaper than an SS, so most dealers just got SS's. Great find! It looks like you are missing the Aero piece on the front spoiler, though. FYI.

I still love my 3rd gen and selling it will hurt but I just don't know if I can keep throwing money into it.

What does the Aero piece look like that I'm missing?

There's a pic from Shaner's website (s2performance.net).

The ground effects just don't look right without the front pieces. Those don't come off that easy; maybe bumper was damaged and replaced?

Is there anywhere you can buy these pieces?
