Few cam questions...

Next mod is a cam with stock heads for now, but not exactly sure what one...the car is my daily driver, but i want as much performance out of it as possible. I want power from low to about 6000 rpms, i dont want to have to rev the hell out of it just to get a little more power...ive looked at the Futral F13 112 LSA and Thunder Racing 224/224 112 LSA, but im not sure. the F13 seems like it will make power too high in rpm range for my liking (2500-6800rpm), will this kill low end? but i dont know it the 224/224 is aggressive enough for what i want either. I want a rough, awesome sound at idle and great performance. Eventually i will put heads on it, but i dont want that to influence my decision a whole lot because i have no idea when i'll get the money for them. I understand some cam basics, but i just need a little help with my decision. I think a 112 LSA is what i want...also these cams will have enough piston-to-valve clearance, right? i will also have the computer tuned. thanks a lot for all your help, if ive left anything out just tell me...thanks!!

The only cam you have to worry about PTVC is the TRex and MS4. .650 lift, basically.
I'd say the f13 is a good looking cam. It was on my list for a while. I'd say a TSP Torquer V2 or f13 @ 230"/232" .595"/.585" 112LSA. The 114's have a wider powerband.. either that or the milder cams w/ 113 or greater LSA.

due to the nature of the lsx engine and the nature of a cam....it's hard to make all your power below 6000rpm.
you could go with something like the TSP 228R (228/228 .588/.588 112 or 114). they say 1700-6300 rpm range, and the XER lobes should make good power. and with a slightly more conservative lift you won't have to worry about ptv clearance, even with milled or big valve heads.

The 224 isn't going to be enough cam for most people's liking. It's a mild cam that boosts performance, but there are many grinds out there that outperform it.
