fastest top speed?
I took mine upto about 160 once last year just to "see what she'd do"
. I couldn't believe how solid the car felt at that speed!
160 occurred right at the top of 3rd gear with the 2.73's, and it wouldn't shift into 4th unless I let off the pedal (at which point the speed would drop off) so I guess it was just shy of the governor?
I haven't taken the car over 120 (yet
) with the 3.73's, but I still think it will pull to ~160 (except in 4th gear now).
I'm curious how fast these could really go given no speed limiter, and the right amount of road!

I haven't had a chance to get above 120 without any traffic. I'm having a tough time finding an open road in Mass. When I went to Texas Tech in West Texas there are plenty of perfect roads to run on, too bad I drove a SUV then. For you other TX guys, don't speed on I 10, 83, or 84. Even I 20 is bad these days. Go towards New Mexico, nothing can beat those straight *** roads out there.
OK so I have a lt1, but seen this and had to post, on the stock motor and all the boltons, was racing a friend (lt1 vette m6 mild mods) we was in 5th his digital speedo was at 164 , and I was 3 car's ahead and pulling pretty hard, would guess 175, raced a stock ls1 vette(a4 99) passed him @ 160 and still pulling( was racing on a 3 mile bridge here in fl car felt like the front end was floting off the road , did'nt like it
LT1: ~150ish when I passed three sport bikes on an interstate.
LS1: ~150ish humiliating a 350Z in Georgia.
Once in awhile I'll take it to 140-150ish between 1-mile exits. Don't have a lot of time for lunch
