FAST LSX intake

Anyone else see the latest Popular Hot Rodding? They have an article on PG 50 about a new aftermarket composite intake from Fuel-Air Spark Technologies. It is currently in the prototype stages, and no power numbers yet, but it looks interesting. I am curious if it is better than the LS6 intake.

Yeah I got that issue too. I think it is the September issue that it is in. It is supposed to be a rediculous intake, made of plastic I believe like the z06 intake to reduce heat. They supposedly have quite a team workin on developing it too. The one thing they said is that at first it is gonna be produced in small quantity but then mass produced so im thinkin its gonna be expensive as hell at first until their second or third production.

On another note what does everyone think of the possible gen 5 camaro that is in the same issue? I see quite a bit of the past coming back but I also see combinations from other muscle cars worked in also. Im still undecided as to what I think.

as for the intake, i'll wait, figure it wont outperfrom the ls6 to much until i get my heads. Can't remember what it flows but if its above 280 it should help a little more, was some 307 cfm @ .600 heads.

Alright guys, this intake looks to be a killer piece!

LSX manifold

FAST used my buddies car to do some of initial testing. Stock SS with no mods on dyno gained 14 RWHP over stock LS1 intake on chassis dyno!! Supposedly the gains over the LS6 was even more impressive along the lines of 20 HP gains!! The release date on these are supposed to be around Nov.
With direct nitrous ports that is going to be trick!

The intake looks fat, but since I already have the LS6 intake, I am curious to see how much better than the LS6 it is. As for the 5th gen, it looked pretty cool. Later.

20 hp over ls6 intake....

is it just me or should that be reversed?

I was talking to Kurt from Wheel to Wheel, and he said that the pre-production ones did very well on the dyno.

I have heard that they might retail for $500, which would be great, but we'll see.

I have helped dyno a few sheetmetal intakes and so far none of them were worth putting on a stock cube car. Alan Futral's intake will probably work good but I'm sure they will be around $1000.
