I have a 99 Z28 with the Monsoon stereo and the factory CD player scratches CD's. I think it might be scratching them when the CD goes in and out.

I know it's the CD player scratching them because I got a new CD that was in perfect condition and tried it and it was scratched when it came out of the CD player.

Has anyone else had this problem or know what I can do?

Not a whole lot you can do... I believe what causes the scratches is the tray that the CD's sit on. They are not raised off of that tray when inside the CD player unless the CD is actually playing. When it's not playing, it's bouncing around and spinning on the CD tray, which can scratch the CD's if it's dirty.
