experienced cat back owners

I have a set lt's with y-pipe I'm waiting to install until I get a good catback, I'm looking around and have seen a few "slp catback's" for sale, the dual dual and 2 on the left. I'm also interested in the magnaflow. I'm looking to buy a used system to save some cash. Any big difference in these three exhuast systems? I want stainless steal and a muffler system (not the loud-mouth or gmmg). My big question is: Is there a difference in the factory slp systems that have been removed from cars and the new one's they sell on the website and they worth a s**t?

TAHNKS GUYS, ANY COMMENTS HELPFUL!

The factory dual/dual will flow just as much as a 2OTL...both are 3 inch systems they will just give off different sounds.

Watch local boards (if there are any) for used catbacks. I picked up my 4" mufflex for $150.

2OTL is said to flow a bit better than the D/D, but the D/D is no slouch. I do like the SLP tail pipes better than Magnaflow, but thats just a matter of my preference.

I agree with Greed4Speed. I have the D/D on my 00 SS w/ FLP longtubes. 2OTL is a little louder but I can't stand the single sided outlets.

dual-duals are less a matter of personal preference, they just are what's best for the car in most cases. I plan on hacking my stock y-pipe and getting 2 completely parallel pipes from the headers to the tips. However that costs many $. If you arn't too concerned about true duals i'd recommend a dynomouth setup. Sounds great and is quite unrestrictive for what is basically a y-pipe setup.

SLP's Dual/Dual is an excellent cat-back, but it is very quiet. I personally loved it on my '02 SS. I had heads/cam with long tube headers and a 3" off-road y-pipe, and the car was still extremely quiet. With the heads/cam setup in place, I only lost 6 RWHP running through the cat-back vs. an open cutout. It works very well. If you want to keep your car on the quiet side, I would go with the Dual/Dual.

Got any clearance prob'ds w/ the mufflex? 4" pipe? The only one I've seen was w/ the pipe..

Throaty sound? LS1 Sounds dosn't help...

What's the 20TL??? Stock SLP option??

Magnaflow is up and running...AWSOME! I am actually think about not doing the LT's because it sounds sooooo good now. I would recommend this one anyone. It looks killer, is quite in the car and loud as hell behind the car. Low growl, not raspy...perfect!

It sits on the upper PHB bracket so it'll rattle every now and then. It didn't when it first got installed, but I got headers & Y, so things got moved around. Car is now lowered 1.4" and it hasn't hit the axel yet. If I drag anywhere its up on the cats.
I've got the spintech crossflow muffler. Nice throaty sound without the hollow tinny ping like a Blowmaster and no rasp. Not too loud, but not quiet either. I removed the tailpipe section (about 1.5') that slides out about 1' from the muffler. The sound now is VERY muscle car like. Well, just more pronounced and louder than before. Has a great burble when decelerating in gear. Very close to what my 70 SS was like with duals. Actually less raspy.

2OTL is "2 out the left." It was the SS/Firehawk SLP exhaust on the LT1/4 4th gens.
