LS1 Oil Filter = Microsized

Holy smokes did AC Delco change the size for LS1's again.

The PF46 is almost the same size as the PF47 I use on my Z24.

??? The LS1 oil filter has always been small? I run the truck filter to bring the capacity to 6 quarts even...

I think he was referring to an oversized filter that happens to fit on the LS1 and raise its capacity. I am not sure what part # it is though.

according to GM(close friend) all years and models came with a pf46.
i saw how small the pf46 filter was and wondered. i get them for free, so ill just stick with the 46. its good to know there is a bigger one out there. i was for sure the 4x4 6.0 trucks would come with a bigger filter, but my buddy told me they were all pf46. heck he could be wrong.

silly you.......

people make mistakes. i should have researched the matter rather than ask someone.

i might try and get some 59's if he has any.
