Another vote for the Loudmouth. Nothing better than driving by and setting off car alarms.

Wow...
Thanks for all the replies! This may be a stupid question, but what is the difference between the regular LM and the Dual/Dual (besides $300)? And to answer the question from the first page, I'm wanting to get the quad outlet, center mount tips with the rear moulding that gives it that factory look. I'm wanting to get that deep throaty yet loud sound and still keep the power and maybe even gain a little. SLP sounds like the way to go.
Any more opinions?

The Loud Mouth is the Loud Mouth. It is available in two exhaust tip flavors. You can either get the 3" dual/dual tips (which is what I've got) or the 3.5" slash cut tips. Both cost the same. The system retails for $350. from SLP but you can get it via several auto stores and there are deals and GPs going on all the time.

Dual/dual tips

Slash cut tips

You can't use the Loud Mouth if you want to go with the LSP center mounted exhaust. That's a completely different system they make and it's not very aggressive sounding. If you want that system and want loud then I'd suggest a cut out.

I had the borla adjustable, and i couldnt tell a difference in sound with the smallest to largest plate on it. And it wasent that loud either, sounded good. But i like my loudmouth alot better.

I know this kid with an 02 Z28, SLP LTs, off-road y-pipe and open Borla. Sounds horrible. Worst sound I've ever heard. I had the same problem with my 96. Same setup except I have Jet-Hot LTs. I had that high pitched goofy exhaust tone, a little deeper than the LS1 but not much better. Needless to say I remedied it with the Hooker system. SLP or Borla? SLP hands down. Not only is it half the price, its stainless too like the Borla. Listen to different systems, dont limit your decision to just 2.

I have seen pics of the quad tip setup you are talking about, and I do think it is different than the standard LM. I don't know how it sounds. I like my LM, it is great as long as you have until you put a y pipe and headers on. Then it gets too raspy IMHO.

Here is a before and after video of mine:

Hope it helps!

On SLP, the exact words are "Quad exhaust system, 1998-02 Z28; includes 'Loud Mouth' system for $549.95. So I think that is what I'm looking for, unless I'm missing something? I've also heard that magna flow is good. Any personal experience with that anyone?

To check it out yourself go to SLPonline.com; click powersearch; enter camaro/firebird, catback exhaust, and year 2000; and look through all of the quad exhaust systems.
