if i was to have an e cutout installed what size would i need? there are places I've read that its a 2.25" pipe and 2.5" pipe which is it?

wow i derped ... 2002 z28 i got under the car and im 75% sure its a 2.5 but im reading different things everywhere i ordered cutouts today.

 

Why don't you just crawl underneath and measure it instead of guessing?

if i put my cutouts before the cat when its closed will i still throw codes?

 

not enough room before the cats. and Im not sure 2 cutouts in the y pipe offer any more performance than one near the rear before it goes into the muffler.

when I had a 98 z28, the one cutout gave me between 1-1.5mph at the track. car was mostly stock, other than a lid, flowmaster muffler (in stock exhaust) + cutout, free ram air mod, ngk plugs, smooth bellows, ported maf, and 4.10's.

 

where would you recomend putting the cutout so that i get the loudest, best sound possible
