Yea under 330 with a few bolt ons and a cam is very low. I think you should just tell us your numbers because I'm not the only one that wants to know I'm sure. We're not gonna make fun of you, look what my car put down! I'd have to agree though, just buy the magnaflow muffler and get rid of that POS flowmaster. Then get some longtubes and i bet you'll see 30rwhp from those two changes as long as everything else on your car is in good shape..

you could get LTs for under 400 and that would go much further towards better numbers than a catback.

I can only do one of those mods at a time. And just like someone stated, the LT's are no good until I have the good flowing catback. So I will do the catback first.

Under $400? That doesn't include the Y pipe. And I want mine coated. That is what I will get for Christmas though So the catback this week, and the LT's by the end of the year

You're still better off just buying a muffler only. For about $50-$100 you can get a Magnaflow or Hooker aerochamber muffler and for another $50 or so you can have any muffler shop install it.

That's roughly $100-$150 spent for the same sound/HP results vs $300 for the entire catback. Then the money saved can go towards another mod or just bank it.

LT headers should have been one of your first mods, before the cam, intake, etc.

Get rid of the Flowmaster muffler and replace it with a magnaflow muffler. I have a brand new Magnaflow muffler I'll let you have for $85 shipped! Then get yourself a set of Jet Hot LT's and you'll be set.

My friend is a writer for a magazine. One article had a Mustang GT swap on the flowmaster catback. The dyno showed the Flowmaster made 1 LESS hp than the stock mufflers .

The next dyno will be something, that is for sure. I had the Magnaflow installed yesterday, and wow what a difference. It was a bit quieter than the flowchoke, but it was a more mellow tone, I liked it better.

You can really feel the difference down low and mid RPMs. Glad that is out of the way. Next, for Christmas will be LT's a y-pipe.

So who makes the best LT's? I heard PaceSetters were pretty awesome!

Pacesetters are probably the best for the money. The best, however, are the stainless steel ones from Kooks or QTP.

If you don't get stainless, at least get them ceramic coated from a place like Jet-Hot. You can order straight from Jet-Hot, or you can send them your headers to be coated.

I thought about the stainless ones. I know someone selling the stainless Hooker LTs for $750 shipped right now. I have Hooker LTs on my LT1 and they were coated by Jet Hot. Not too fond of their coating, it is too thin. I have a local place in my area that coats, and it is awesome. I would order the Pace Setters already coated though.

I'll just wait for the right deal. I am in no hurry

Thanks for the reply.

As far as fitment the Hooker or JetHot long tubes and y-pipe fit great with no interfearance with any part of the car.

I have Dynatech race longtubes on mine and they work and fit great too.

That's good to know. The Hookers fit well on my LT1 and the hubby has PaceSetters on his LT1, and we had no problems. I hope there are some great Christmas sales coming up soon!

I also read that installing LTs on a LS1 was cake compared to a LT1....true?
