exhaust question
I was considering getting a set of hooker LT's, the mufflex 3-4 ory-pipe and their 4in cat back w/spintech muffler.
Anyone have any opinions on this settup?

Hooker LT's
I would get the Hooker Y just because the fitment will be really good. The spintech well
, I think the spintech has better performance, but queit. The other choice is the Flowmaster which has that great sound. If your looking for performance looks really nice, and go with the Spintech.

The reason I wanted the mufflex y-pipe is because it has 3in pipe that goes into a 3in-4in y collector. This would allow me to run the 4in catback system mufflex sells with the spintech or the flowmaster. I have a flowmaster now and love the sound but everyone on here seems to agree it is restrictive. I was, however, wondering about the performance qualities of the spintech in comparison with other options on the market. Also are there any other 4in systems on the market and if not what are the performance difference between mufflex 4in and a high flow cat back. I have never heard a gmmg but have heard loudmouth and hate it!!
My neighbor has MAC Mids, no Cat, Mufflex Y and 4 inch Mufflex Cat Back with Spintech.....it sounds nasty. Go for it, the LT's will just make it sound better.
And get the Dual Tails, they look so sick.

Yeah, the Flows may be restrictive, but is it really that much. The mufflex sounds pretty sweet on their website. The GMMG and Borla, Magnaflow are probably the most popular. Other 4in systems are probably out their. GMMG has a website, but I was not impressed. Remember you can get a cutout for performance.

Hey guys thanks for the input. Keep it coming. I would like to hear from someone who has this setup on an ls1 to know how it sounds and if they installed it themselves how well it all fit together.

Does anyone know anything about spintech like how they flow compared to other mufflers on the market?
It really isn't too important now because I think I'm gonna try getting a high stall tc anyway instead of exhaust. I want more of a gain at the track and from what I understand that is the best way to quicken your et with an a4.
Thanks for your replies though and I would still like to know about the spintech if anyone knows anything about it.

I wouldent go with 4 inch, just because if your running LT's, your already going to be close to the ground, and you dont need another inch closer to the ground, plus what Robvas said, its prolly more trouble than its worth and your back pressure might get real low.
I have a friend who has this that set-up. I have to look out the window to make sure a helicopter isn't driving by. It is seriosly loud. He has no cats on his car though. I would never get the 4" unless, as said before, I am going to run 450+ horsepower. If you plan to do a head/cam package then their setup will work nicely. Oh, and the 4" pipes
