Exhaust Clips Wanted.
Exhaust Clips Wanted.
Post up the links to your exhaust sound clips please. I am looking for a meaner sound then what I already have. I have the dynomouth mod which sounds pretty mean, but those mustangs exhaust sound TIGHT!! Would love to have something similar. I heard an lt1 with magnoflow exhaust and it sounded like the 5.0 gt.

Am I close?
Have you tried an ORP with that DM?
Seems like that would mean it up quite a bit.
I hate to mention, but LT1s and Stangs have totally unique sounds to themselves due to their construction, design, materials, and firing order.
Your car can never sound like either, just like they sound different from each other.
Not to say our cars can't sound good... just in a different way.
Some things that make a difference:
Muffler (duh)
Single/dual exhaust
Crossover/no crossover
Header design
Tube sizes (smaller pipe carries exhaust faster, therefore louder)
Cats/no cats
Engine state of tune
Firing order
Materials used in engine/exhaust (iron, steel alum...)
I would try the ORP and see what happens.
If the rasp is too much, some folks have found a neat trick in installing a header collector insert inside the I pipe. This is supposedly removing all rasp from systems prone to the issue.
Good luck
Dave
