Re: Exhaust

I did a dynomouth. IMO it's the best catback on the cheap, other than a cutout of course. Summit racing sells dynomax bullet mufflers for $33-45, get a 3" in and out. Then get some tips you like, or keep the stock ones, and have a shop take out the stock muffler and make a Y pipe to keep the dual tips.

Another idea would be to put a 3" cutout in the pipe right before it goes into the stock muffler. That way it can be crazy loud when you want it to, and quiet when you don't.

Re: Exhaust

Go with GMMG if you are looking for the classic muscle car sound.

Re: Exhaust

The hooker cat-back sounds very nice on an LS1. We just put that kit on a friend of mine's '00 TA. Sounds great but is not too loud. And its reasonably priced too

Re: Exhaust

you can get true duels for around 222. 2 12 inch dyno max bullets= 65 summit universal x pipe= 33 installation and rest of piping 120. thats what it's costing me!!! thats less than cat backs and will flow and sound better. gmmc sounds amazing but is 700

Re: Exhaust

Look around on local boards and buy a used take off. All 3" catbacks (minus flowmaster) flow relatively the same the difference is in the sound and materials. Check ls1sounds.com or go to some local meets to hear them.

If loud is all you want, just get a cutout.
