everyone with poly motor mounts in their ls1 please reply
i have the poly mounts on my trans am and on the drivers side underneath towards the rear of the y pipe it hits the floor pan when i floor it at 30 mph i thought the poly mounts stop the y pipe from hitting, there is a little over a 1/4" clearance. what can i do to stop this i will log some autotap runs to see if im getting knock retard, hopefully i dont

i think you need more than 1/4"....
i have about 1/2" and have no problems with the ypipe hitting with my poly mounts.
are you sure that's what's hitting?

thats where its hitting because its atleast an inch or better in other spots, how did you get a half inch at that point? i pulled down as much as i could nad 1/4" is all i can get, maybe i can pry it down with a prybar? what do you think

a bar is probably what you'll need.
and honestly...i bolted the Ypipe up and it fit perfect....all bolts lined up and the pipe was perfect distance from the frame...so i can't take credit for the clearance.
shoulda bought the flowtechs instead of the JHs ...j/k
i would maybe try taking the ypipe off, going to a shop and having them heat up the section with a torch and pounding or bending a flatter spot in the pipe. you won't lose much flow and you can gain alot of clearance.

I also have Jet-Hot Long tubes but with Jet-Hot's offroad Ypipe. When I installed mine I neglected to check k-member clearence, although I knew the ypipe was going to be an issue. After getting everything together both points were rubbing/banging (kmember and floorpan), plus one of my motor mounts was REALLY loose, engine vibrated a lot even without having a cam.
I ended up taking it to a local shop to have motor and trans mounts installed, and asked them to clear the kmember a bit and see what they could do about the ypipe fitment and sure enough it came back to me with new mounts and no banging or rubbing of any kind. In order to solve the Ypipe problem they separated the space between two of the connecting pieces on the driver side of the ypipe (where one of the spacers inside the pipe fits) so that if it does move up and down a bit it's beyond the lower part of the floor pan.
Unfortunately, if I had to do it all over again, I would have gotten Hooker's or Flowtechs.
