ES transmisson mount torque arm bushing

I have a 98 ss with the m6. I just recently put the Energy suspension transmission mount and torque arm bushing in. This should be high on the list of first mods. What a difference it made on my car. Made it feel alot tighter. The only question I have is it vibrates at highway speeds. I saw all the stuff about removing the preload plate and grinding the bumps down and putting washers under the crossmember. I have already put 1000 miles on it and it still does it. Should I modify mine. I dont mind the extra noise, its just the vibration. Im going to the track tomorrow and want to know if it will hurt if I dont do it before the track..

thanks

ever hear of a smooth running race car? You have essentially stiffened up your tranny to car mount.. so why wouldnt it transfer more of the vibes now?

Its totally normal.. I used to run the ES bushings.. I like them but with my 2002 (i had a 1995 before) I want a plush ride for a while..

Maybe later on I will start with the mods.. I would also suggest that ya get an Airlift airbag and mount it in the right rear spring.. At the track, inflate to about 22psi.. preloads the right rear giving you a better launch.. for $35 its not a bad deal but you do need to go halfsies with someone as they sell them in pairs..

i was told to give it a while - it will smooth itself out. and no it shouldnt hurt you at the track.

I removed the preload plate and grinded the bumps down and didn't use any washers under the crossmember. no vibrations really. love it.

I have the ES transmission mount & torque arm bushings too. After installing the tranny mount, I had a wonderful vibration although it's not so noticeable anymore. I love it!
