Engine Work
Engine Work
Someone made an earlier post asking if his pistons would hold out on 500 rwhp.
Let's say a z28 or SS has more than that, what would he have to mod or change in order to handle that much power? Is it MAJOR work or just some swapping?
I've read about this twin turbo kit that's supposed to throw you up to 650-800 bhp. How much work would need to be done to handle that beast?

i was the one that asked that...if youget a good answer from someone emial me at stik6shift00@team.camaroz28.com
well from my knowledge to build any Small Block Chevy engine to handle twin-turbos, Supercharger (aka Blower) and/or NOS with out any having major problems, would be as Followed:
1. Forged Crank
2. Forged Pistons (Dishtop low compression)
3. Forged Rods (either Aluminum or Steel)
4. Main Cap Studs (not bolts)
This is mainly for the Lower End... With what a Turbo, Supercharger and Some NOS kits put in, I would want strength.. I don't know if there is Forged Cranks Available to LS1 yet...
