engine swap ls1 to a 6.0

engine swap ls1 to a 6.0

I have a 98 z with a bad motor and I want to put a 6.0 in it or a ls3 what do I need to change to make everything work like it is supposed to? Or can you reflash the computer and make this work.. Thanks for your help

im in the same boat i have a 2002 z28 blew a hole in the block right above the starter something in the bottom let go i guess...so i need to know if i can get an LQ9 motor and put all my accy's on it and if i need the ecm and harness from the LQ9 or can i use my LS1 ecm and harness? thanks..

You will need a conversion kit to run the 58x crank signal our cars is 24x.

The front cover is different ect. ect.

You can get the kit from Scoggin Dickey Performance.

You will need a re-tune too, since there are parameters for cylinder size in the tune.

i thought 02-06 LQ9's were 24x.....when you say front cover is different do you mean the timing cover? can i use the one off my ls1?

My mistake you need to drill one hole in the block to mount the accessory bracket.
