Question engine rebuild

how long should it take for a gm mechanic to put an ls1 back together and put it back in the car?

No responses on Advanced Tech.... you might get better results on LS1 Tech.

That would really depend on the mechanics expertise & more importantly his hourly rate heh

Question

Would they really do a rebuild on a dealer level ?

I would think that they would just do a motor swap - from what I have read/heard of people who had motors done under warranty, that was the way it worked.

Plus, you could get the LS6 block & cam that way - they would have to re-use the old intake.

Just a thought ...
