engine degreaser

I just got my car back a little ago and the engine compartment is quite dirty, so I'm gonna clean it. Most degreasers are pretty much the same, so that's not the question. This may be kinda stupid, but I've never cleaned an LS1 before.

Is there anything I need to cover up while cleaning the engine and the surrounding accessories? I will be taking the car to a local car wash where I can use a pressure sprayer to rinse the the stuff off the engine. What else do I need to look out for?

Use as little water as possible. I'd also recommend not using a pressure washer, use just a regular hose if you can or if not, then just fill your bucket up with water and rinse it off with that.

Make sure you stay away from the PCM...and try to stay away from the different sensors (MAF, KS, TPS, etc).
