Post EGR tube missing...

I've just started dabbling with doing some mods on my new 2002 Z28 A4. I looked around on the install university free mod site.

Anyway, I came up to the EGR tube mod, and rad about it last night. I went out to the car this morning and looked under the hood. To my suprise, I don't see the EGR, or the tube ...anywhere. Is this possible? Did they remove, or move it for the 2002's? If they moved it...where is it, and does it still protrude downward in the intake?

Thanks much.....

I'm not too sure but I think one of my friends told me that they moved it the the rear of the intake mainfold, the driver's side.

2001-2002 LS1s do not have an EGR because they have the LS6 intake.

I thought it was the cam change.

2002's have the LS6 intake and the 6.0 truck cam. They are also rumored to have the LS6 block, but I can not confirm that.

The 01-02s have no EGR with the LS6 intake. They have the truck cam and I belive they also have the LS6 block. They also have the Z06 clutch and better clutch hydroulics.

So pretty much......there is no EGR tube for me to worry about protruding in the intake then....right?

Also, how does that cam from the truck compare to earlier year LS-1's?

The truck cam fattens up the mid-range torque in the 2000-5000 rpm range
