Question egr delete

Have a 99 ls1, want to throw the ls6 manifold on, but they are starting emission testing here in PA. I know i can have it removed by using ls1edit, but when they plug me in to check for codes will they be able to tell its missing? Anybody ever change up to a 01-02 pcm to have no worries?

I had the same issue. Got rid of everything but the EGR.
I took it off the mount moved it and the harness over by the A/C lines. The PCM is looking for a voltage change ( feedback ) to the PCM. No codes, no problems, No LS1edit.

No problem. By the way if you already SES coded for this, hook the EGR back up and it should clear the SES after 20 key cycles.
It's nice to have buddies with TECH2's also

I think that would be the best setup. I did forget to mention you should ground the EGR unit, or install it as you suggested. The only down side would be you have cut up a part you may want someday.
