EGR block off question

EGR block off question

does bloscking off the EGR valve and totally removing the EGR throw a code and cause your SES light to come on?? just wondering , I bought some headers and put them on only to realize they sent me 99 headers for a 2000 and the egr tubes dont line up

Yes, you'll need to get the codes turned off.

although it shouldnt affect the running condition of the car at all.

thanks for the help guys , one more thing, how would I get the codes turned off is that a dealer thing?

i highly doubt a dealer would delete them for you. since removing emissions provisions is illegal.

you'll have to find someone with tuning software, or just get the "budget tune" from madwolf.

PCMforless.com...they did mine...awesome mail tuners!!!! Might as well get the rear 02 sims and the AIR codes deleted too and get them to give you a nice power tune based on your mods. You won't be disappointed.

hey thanks a lot , I appresciate that , and yeah those rear o2 sensor codes would be nice to have gone!!!
