Question EGR and Air Pump delete...

what all has to be done to take off the EGR and the air pump? also what problems, if any, could arise because of this? thanks a lot!

Undo some bolts, take out the EGR& air pumps, plug the manifolds with the blockoff plates. Tune isn't necessary but you will trip a SES light.

yes...you need to progam the AIR and EGR out of the computer. unless you have the 01/02 car which didn't have the EGR.

removing the AIR will cause your cats to fail quicker i've heard. not sure.

there really isn't any hp to be gained from removing the AIR. it only operates for 2-3 mins after startup, and is an electric pump. basically it just cleans up the engine bay.

the EGR tube inside the manifold could introduce some resistence to flow...but not much.
