Egr

has anyone sawed off the 1.25'' of egr on the tip that goes into the front of the intake manifold? I was thinking about doing it... any ideas on how much this will help the air flow?

Thanks,
-Dakota

Re: Egr

I did it, it was easy. It won't do all that much. It kind of falls into that "every little bit counts" category.

Re: Egr

I used a dremmel tool. A hacksaw would work, but a dremmel w/cutoff wheel will make quick work of it. Just make sure to take off the whole EGR pipe and not just bend it out of the way. You'll have trouble getting the EGR to seal if you bend the tube.

nowhere near enough to feel

someplace between 0 and 1 hp if you're lucky. may as well just remove the whole system.
