I have a 2002 Z28, and I would like to know if the heads/cam out of a LS6 would fit on my LS1 (i would imagine so, but want to be sure), and what kind of gains, if any, would i expect to see from a swap like that? Also, would it be easier to tweak the LS1 ECU or get an LS6 ECU? Thanks in advance for the help.

ecu is the same, the tune is different

LS6 intake manifold, heads, and cam....with a proper tune...and boltons should net you about 360hp give or take.

there are better heads/cam to buy

What are your power goals? I would recomend doing a different camshaft than the stock LS6. With full exhaust LS6 intake a streetable cam you could easily put down well over 400hp. And the only diffrerent cost would be the camshaft....becuase all the gaskets and such that were used would be the same..

LS6 head/cam combo should net you ~370-380whp w/tune and supporting bolt ons. I agree, there are much better cams.
