Unhappy Dyno guy said my car was consistently lean.. I need some info

OK, I'm pretty worried about it actually because I've heard that lean fuel mixtures lead to bad engine damage. On my best dyno pull, my air/fuel ratio stayed around 15.. Should I be worried? The car was pretty close to normal operating temperature but not quite there yet. If it's lean, shouldn't the PCM be recalibrating settings to even it out?? Also, the only thing that I can think of to even make it lean is the MAF is descreened. Thanks for all replies!

Whoa, that is way to lean. Make that car run richer as soon as possible. Put the screen back in if you can. My car was running pretty lean too, so I got the predator programmer and that brought it down to normal a/f ratios.

Angry

I guess for now all I can do is make sure all air fittings are tight and spray the MAF sensors with contac cleaner. Shat, I hope nothing's horribly wrong with it.

I'm not sure, but I don't think it's a good idea to spray cleaner on the maf sensor................

Yea I was thinking to go ahead spray the contac cleaner first, but now I'm thinking about a new MAF.. Probably an SLP one WITH THE SCREEN since I can't get an OEM one for cheaper. Sucky.
