Dyno!!

What kind of dyno do you use for the LS1? Dynojet or whatever the other one is? Because i've heard of mustang dynos and I dont want to go to one. Anyway another question is for any of you in southeast michigan... Where do you dyno your car and how much does it cost?

The two main dynos are the DynoJet and the Mustang. The Mustang dyno is an excellent dynometer, but it is a different type of dyno which usually produces numbers slightly lower than the DynoJet brand. (and no, a Mustang dyno is not made for the Ford Mustang)

It is possible to get the same numbers from the Mustang and DynoJets. Hypertech has (or I should say they HAD) a pair of dynos, one DynoJet and one Mustang. They were calibrated to give the same numbers. They are for sale, BTW, since Hypertech is installing a pair of AWD capable dynos.

For numbers comparison and bragging rights, you probably want to get on a DynoJet since it is the most popular and the one most people run on .

As for cost ... $75 for 3 pulls is pretty much the going rate.
