Dual-Stage Nitrous Dyno Results: 729.9 RWHP!

We had some time to play on the new dyno last night. Jason was ready to try the dual-stage nitrous system out again, so we picked up a few gallons of race gas and headed to the new shop. For those that don't know, his car is a '99 Corvette FRC with our off-set 396 cid LS1 iron-block stroker with a TNT 150 wet shot for the first stage and 100 HP dry shot for the second stage.

Keep in mind that the car was still rolling on ET Streets! You should've felt them after the dyno runs. They were ready for some 6,000 RPM clutch dumps! We made two pulls with the dual-stage setup, and the results were 729.9 RWHP and 834.9 RWTQ! This was on the second pull. The first pull netted exactly 700.0 RWHP. We spent some more time warming the bottle before the second pull. Here's the graph! http://www.texas-speed.com/TSP396Graph.jpg We're going to try it again soon with a full bottle. She was sitting with 5.5# at the beginning of the run.

The clutch held on the dyno, so the next step is to see if it'll hold at the track. The stock crank has been a real trooper so far. We'll see how it holds up to the added power over the long-term. We can certainly say so far so good!

Trevor

Nice! Now Jason can talk stuff to the Supra guys..beat 'em on the highway at their own game and then beat 'em badly at the strip.
