Ok , Im not trying to flame this guy but he does not understand that im not calling him a lier i just trying to explain to him that his race wasnt exactly what he thought it was. It couldnt have been. He is saying His Auto LT1 w/headers/323's/CAI beat a New GTO LS1 car bye 5 car's lengths. I told him the only way is if the other guy had a mechanical problem or just couldnt drive.

What do you guys think? That LS1 would have Waxed him after 50 w/eas. I out ran plenty of LT1's with his mods fairly easy when My LS1 was a stocker.

He claims he Easily beat an LS1 GTO and that he even let the guy go first and still beat him easily bye 4-5 cars.

Remember guys, Im not looking for insults, Just opinions .
He just dont understand the HP difference there is with 5 car lenghts.
a 350HP LS1 vs a maybe 315hp LT1....Know what I mean? The guy in the LS1 had to be sleep at the wheel. My stock LS1 would have Destroyed that car.

I'd give the edge to the GTO but it wouldnt be an a$$-kicking....the GTO weighs almost 3800 pounds!

i had my mother's stock automatic '04 GTO out one nite and i had just a bit of fun with a friend's auto '94 Z28 (3.23 with light bolt-ons).

from a stop the goat raped him as he barbecued the tires. from a 2nd gear punch the GTO jumped out a car length and pulled EVER SO SLIGHTLY to about a car and half at 85 mph.

with headers, i could see the race being ALMOST neck and neck but there is NO way he's walking out cars on a properly driven goat.

that being said, one must always remember, ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN ON THE STREET. so yes, it may have happened but NO, it's not the typical outcome by any means.

 

I agree. Anything can happen. If anything it should have been a close race.

But 5 cars Must have been one poor running LS1. It would have had to been a mid 14 second car to lose bye as many cars.

 

I'd say it's possible

With the mods he has, he would be close to running head to head with a stock one. Driver's error can easily make for 5 cars. So I'd say it's possible he put 5 cars on the driver, not so much the car

 

Thats what I told him that he claimed there was no driver error.

 

How does he know it wasn't drivers error? Did he talk to the GTO, maybe he wasn't racing, just running alittle hard. Running alittle hard next to someboby w/ less HP LOOKS like a race.
