Car sounds mean! Is that with the converter unlocked? Nice numbers for an auto! It should really fly

See that? Stay in touch with me for the build and that's what happens That .040" Cometic looks like it really woke up the car

thanks guys

Im happy with the build... I opened it up for the first time today and i must say; WOW. It throws you in the seat. I noticed afer I brought the car back to stock height and left the relocation brackets, the car hooks up much better. The car still needs a "Cold Tune". UAR performance did a hell of a job. Awesome place with friendly people that know their sh*t.

heres a question..

How can I make more Tq? 415rwhp 380rwtq....kinda sucks.. Dont quite understand. I know ls1's arent known for high torque, but thats some low numbers in my eyes..

More cubes
More compression
Different cam
Power adder

A 346 incher is only going to make just so much torque. Even with another 100hp the torque doesn't increase that much.

It's hard to estimate what you actually make because I'm sure they didn't lock the converter on the dyno unless you specified them to. Those are good numbers with the converter unlocked, although I'd shoot for 430rwhp on an auto with a heads/cam LS1 build. A FAST 90/90 setup should get you there or close and give you another 15 rwtq as well.

If you want to see your numbers compared to an M6, get it redynoed and get the converter locked. Most decent heads/cam setups make somewhere around 415-430rwtq.

I suggested he run the Cometic .040", so he's should be in the 11.3-11.8 range now depending on combustion chamber size and if he had the heads milled or not.

hmm

not sure what the compression is.. 11.? I went with i believe the thinner of the gaskets to help make the higher compression. Hope it worked...Is their a formula for it? I played with a stock trans-am 98-02 style. I was out front from the start and had to let off in the middle of second to get traction and gunned it again lol... Guy was like damn thats a f*cking beast...

He should be around 11.3-11.8:1 depending on if the heads were milled or not.

well...

Took the car down to Tire Kingdom where my buddy works. We relaced the tranny filter, moved the tranny cooler, drained and replaced the fluid and the car still shifts funny when the computer takes over...For the people that don't know. After the tune, the car shifts funny. With the superchips programmer, I had the shifts like +10psi above stock, so it would help the shift firmness. The car would chirp into gears not even WOT. The tranny is beefed up and only like a year or so old. When the car shifts now, it sounds like its not "punching" into gear. I wonder if may be the tuner might have done something with the shifts. When I shift manually into gears, it does fine. Its weird.... Least the engine runs good =P. I told the tuner and he said that he will compair it to the stock tune to see if he might have changed something on the tranny... He has to do a cold tune anyhow...

What do you mean the tranny is "beefed up"?

If there's already a shift kit in the car, then I wouldn't fool with the line pressure on the program too much unless you want to break sunshells and other fun parts.

Ask me how I know.
