I still have to install the Texas-Speed true duals on Friday and reinstall my stock springs on the rear. The car will be tuned next Tuesday!!! I will shoot video to share. I hope it doesn't blow up... haha...

Quick Questions....I bought a pcv oil catch can. Can anyone explain which tubes I hook it up too? Does it take the pcv module out and just routes to the can, from the can to where the pcv went into the throttle body? Also. Why a grounding wire on the pcv module? Its a C shaped piece of metal on a rubber tube... How the hell does that ground it? I broke that wire on accident haha. I will probably solder it... Course will I need that pcv if im using the can?

You can route the hoses for the can before or after the PCV valve. It just goes in line.
The ground clamp doesn't hook over the hose it hooks over the PCV valve itself which is metal and grounding it eliminates any possibility of a static spark causing a fire in the fumes inside the PCV system.

I wouldn't worry about the PCV ground strap too much. Most are either removed or broken like yours, or not even offered from the factory and I've never once heard of any problems as a result.

I do not need a catch can on my current engine (stock 01 bottom end), but my original bottom end needed it. I ran the catch can before the PCV, as I did not want oil contaminating the valve which can cause metering problems. And yes, the PCV valve is necessary with or without the catch can setup. In fact I would recommed you go with the fixed orifice PCV valve that GM introduced for the trucks.

Where's the FAST setup on that bad boy? You're leaving a ton of horsepower on the table!!!!

There's no need for a catch can on these cars, IMO. Convert to an LS6 PCV and LS6 valley cover while doing the heads/cam setup.

I'm running the LS6 PCV system and decided to add a catch can when I dumped a teaspoon of oil out of the intake upon removal.
IMHO what harm will it do (other than the cost) to have one there just in case? For less than $100 I have the peace of mind in knowing that I won't have detonation due to oil ingestion.

Anyone with pics it would be nice...fast intake? Well I decided to spend the cash on the big crap.. Maybe later ill convert to the fast intake.... Right now im happy. I have to wait till tuesday to fire it up..... Im kinda nervous... I mean it spun just fine when you do it by hand... I just hope nothing bad happens.. My first build you know...

oh and

Headers and texas speed true duals ALSO... We got the car running today... ****s crazy loud lol. Looks like I accidently installed a downstream o2 sensor in the place of the upstream. We will install the o2 sensor tomorrow and dyno it.. Some crazy cars come out of UAR performance... Anyways.... Car runs good. Oil pressure at about 45psi @ 1k rpms. New temp guage works nice. No leaks anywhere... Does anyone know what program people use to make car video's? like the ones on streetfire.net?

Heres a video.. I might install a filter on the mic but it sounds alright I guess...http://s733.photobucket.com/albums/w...t=PICT0001.flv
