i dont want to get rid of my egr or anything so will my tube thats supposed to connect to the lid connect to it without me having to buy something extra? how much does it cost to get rid of the egr and air? what all do i need and where do i get it lol? and what are the benefits and cons of getting rid of these? can something bad happen?

The tube that goes into the lid is for the AIR system. You can buy one of those tiny filters from autozone/advance auto parts for less than $5. It fits perfectly into the hose. I think you can see it in the pics in my sig. Look in the Firehawk 2 folder.

what year car do you have? 01 and 02 doon't have the egr provisions.

as for the air, you remove the tubes going to each manifold, remove the air pump from behind the driverside headlight, and use blockoff plates available from www.thunderracing.com or www.paceparts.com.

this will set off an SES light though, and the only thing it does is clean up the engiine bay.

so when i got to advance or autizone what do i ask for? does the filter have a certain name or part number? so when i get my slp lid i should put the plug that comes with it in the hole and put a filter on my air tube? just a question, why not just hook the air up to the lid? will i gain more hp with the lid plugged up rather than having the air tube attached to it?

so you dont gain any hp or performance with removing the egr and air? i guess if i do remove it i can get the pcm programmed for egr removal, will removing the air mess my motor up at all? should i just remove the egr or should i remove the egr and air ? i think for now when i get longtubes ill just keep the egr and air hooked up, now say when i get the lid and longtubes and have the air and egr hooked up, if i remove the egr and air and use blockoff plates for the headers will i get more hp out of my headers or will i get the same hp increase with my headers and the egr and air hooked up? oh and my car is a 00
