Does this seem like a decent deal on a SS?
Here is what i'm looking at...
00 SS, Black/Black leather, 6 speed, t-tops, monsoon, asr, chrome ZR1's, etc...
Power Programmer and some sort of lid with K&N filter.
has 73,000 miles on it though.
They are asking 14,950
What do you all think?
Already had the rear end and O2's replaced under warranty.
Supposedly runs 13.4-13.7 at 106+

I'd have it checked by a mechanic and if it is in excellent condition offer 14,000 and see if they bite. Kelly Blue Book rates the value between 16,500 and 19,000 in excellent condition.

I unfortunately won't be able to look at it myself since i'm in central PA and the car is in Orlando. I'm just kind of worried of the mileage. I thought i'd off 13K and see where it goes from there. I'm just not sure though. I don't seem to have a good feeling about it, so i'm thinking about skipping it... We'll see though.

Sounds like a decent price, but $14K would be the absolute max I'd pay for it.
As long as it checks out okay. Since you are so far away, you definetely need to have somebody knowledgeable to check it out before buying.
Just FYI, there's a guy from Indiana at the SLP forum selling a nice looking 00 SS w/81K miles for $14.5 or $14 without mods.

Dude if your looking for a Z, come up to Altoona. The one dealer here Fiore Auto outlet has like 4 of them. The 5 star suzuki has a bird in, not sure what its got though. Dean Patterson's has two or three. I know they even had a Trans Am if you'd be willing to have one of them instead. Hope this helps ya out a little bit.

Rob... Thanks for the info. I've been all over the area trying to find what I want. I've looked at the Camaro's in Altoona, but i've got my heart set on a SS, so that's the only thing i'll be happy with. Just gotta give it time. It'll be worth it in the long run
