Does an 01 LS1 Z28 Monsoon Radio have a seperate amp?

I bought a Monsoon AM/FM CD Player from a 01 Z28. I got the Radio, the front door speakers, Rear speakers and the rear fill speakers. 6 speakers total. It says it is a Monsoon head unit but is the Amp inside the radio or is it seperate somewhere else? The speakers just say Delco and look somewhat cheap.
Is this the 500 Watt Monsoon Radio syatem I bought or whats the deal? Does not seem very loud to me. I didnt get a seperate amp or any factory subs. Hard for me to beleive that this a Monsoon system. Heck my 97 factory Cd player was louder than this! Is there 2 differnet Monsoon radios for the 01 Z28?

If there is a seperate amp where is it located? I was told that the amp was inside the radio which did not make much sence to me at the time but he said he was positive that it was there.

Will I need the factory wire harness or something to hook all this up in my 97 TA from this 01 Z28? Whats needed?

Would have there been any factory sub woofers?

im not 100% positive, but I have taken my dash apart several times.. and there is just the factory wiring harness plugged into the reciever.... to the best of my knowledge it is built into the reciever, and that is why there are cooling fins coming out the side.

on 98+ Z Monsoons, the amp is located behind the spare tire and a little twards the front of the car.

the HU powers the tweeters in the doors, the amp powers the rest.

Firebirds are slightly different

hey, crazy, it's Ross from the dyno day in SA, the amp is partialy in the radio, and in the spare tire compartment. It is backwards and facing the fender, so all's you see is the plastic mounting plate. It's up in the fender above the rear right tire well. It says ac delco on it in pretty big letters. From what i remember is the front speakers are run by the radio and the rest by the amp.
