Do the numbers seem right?

Well here's the dyno vid...mods are in sig.

http://s248.photobucket.com/albums/g...t=DSCN0605.flv

Numbers were 167 rwhp, 193 rwtq. something seems wrong.

.

Ok so that was the V6, and I was a dillweed and didn't even get a video of the Z28 getting dyno tuned because I had to work

But for the Z28, the numbers were great! I think anyway...

435 rwhp and 389 rwtq!

Torque came out a little lower than expected...I was hoping both would be over the 400 mark...

This was on a 2000 LS1 Camaro with 86k on the block, stage 2.5 5.3L heads from TSP (PRC brand), Torquer V.2 cam (232/234, .598/.595 lift I think..), FAST 92 w/ PTM 92mm throttle body, MTI Lid, SLP cold air intake, Pacesetter LT's going to dumped true duals WITH cats and magnaflows into turndowns. Stock rear end w/ 3.42 gears running through an M6. I guess it could get a couple extra ponies when moving, and not sitting on the dyno, because of the CAI, but I'm pretty happy with the results!

I don't have the sheets scanned, but I'll post them up tomorrow!

Those numbers seem right on with PRC packages.
PRC tends to oversize the ports a little so the TQ does suffer, on the other hand though, I bet the car hauls ***

haha ooo. porter vs. porter! I've heard the same from a couple folks but the price was the highest I could go and I'm very satisfied! I'm sure the same results (a happy customer) can be found with any of the vendors! And yes its a blast to drive!

Torque does seem a little low and peaks pretty high... I'd also blame the heads.

Not bad numbers, though.

Haha no,
We respect ALL head porters for what they do, it's extremely hard work and takes alot of time and dedication to perform the art, some people just have different theories on port volume, cross section, and port shape in general.

Awesome numbers though! Have fun and be safe out there. Cheers

Did u have a baseline dyno done or anything like that to see how much u actually gained? Personally I wouldn't be happy with those numbers given the mods, but then again it could be a stingy dyno. If you are happy with it then thats all that really matters.

yeaaa i am pretty happy with them; i went back to the tuner to ask why the AFR was so high (14) and he said that since I got cats on it they had to lean it out a bit extra; i had never heard of that but i figure they know what they're talking about......

As for the baseline dyno, the first pull did 420rwhp, don't know about torque, but they had already done a little bit of tuning before, so it wasn't really an accurate showing of how much the car got out of the tune..

Again if your happy that is truly all that matters. Do you have a UD pulley? If not a UD pulley and porting to your FAST should pick up a few more HP. For anyone reading this I recomend getting a baseline dyno done before u go with internal mods, that way you have a better idea of exactly what u gained. It also takes the accuracy of the dyno out of the equation, because whether its stingy or happy the gains will still be shown.

Edit: I just listened to the soundclip and your exhaust sounds phenomenal.

nahh no u/d pulley and no ported fast...and cats aren't even gutted maybe one day after I get tired of driving it around and putting $50 of gas in it every 4 days I'll make it a not-so-legal car, but still passable. the tuner said the underdrive pulley and either removing the cats (illegal) or gutting them (illegal as well, but not noticeable) would put me over 400 tq and at about 450 hp.

but right now i just need suspension!!

PRCs XFI and XER lobe cams are always weak on torque. The LSK cams are MUCH better. Their ports have been 220cc for some time now.
