Do i have as much power as an SS?

Everything is stock except for the exhaust. The exhaust is made of a 30" glasspack, back into 24" chrome resonantor tips. Does that put me up to the 325?

Yep, I would say those 24inch tips are giving you about 20hp.....add 5 more because they are chrome. So thats 25 more hp than you would have stock

The point is that the glasspack may have helped you out a little because its a straight through design but you shoudn't have listed the tips because they didn;t give you jack. To asnswer your question I see LS1 Z28's and SS's run alot at the track and they are always pretty close.

Your car might have had more power than SOME SS's before you put those killer tips on there. LOL

Like any car the Fbody has some cars that come off the line one after the other and one might just be faster. This is sometimes referred to as a "freak" because some completly stock Z's are just fast as hell. And considering that an SS is just a Z that was modified by SLP you never know where the freaks may be. But it is possible that a Z might end up with more power than an SS both stock. The SS does not have killer hp gains over the Z anyway... I personally got an SS because I like the look better.. which in a way is about what it boils down too.

If you dyno and SS and a Z28 they basically come out the same, with in a few HP of each other cuz on the rollers the SS can't make use of it's Ram-air....not that it makes much difference anyway.

So to answer your question, with a free flowing exhaust you are gonna be damn near the HP of an SS optioned Camaro.

Hey, 6speedZ28 , you didnt have to be a raging phag about the whole thing. I was just describing the whole setup I have. Maybe some other people on the board would have clicked the sig to see what it looks like. Not you, you had to be a jerk about it. Just thought I would tell you to think before you speak, or type for that matter.

Do you even have pictures of your exhaust setup on your website? I didn't see any and I checked all 3 pages.

Besides, you posed the question "do I have as much power as an SS", then listed a glasspack and exhaust tips. Sounds to me like you were suggesting the tips had something to do with getting a power edge. If that wasn't your intent you should have asked if putting on a glasspack would be as good as an SS exhaust.
