Cool

My '98 doesn't do it at all. Also it just may be normal, most of the new Ford F-150's I've heard have the same ticking going on as what some of you describe. Not really sure, just happy mine is quiet!Except for that squeaky belt

I was really happy, the new one doesnt do it at all and it seems to be a hell of alot faster. the reason why i got a new tranny is because the guy said that the syncros were worn out because somebody had been power shifting!!! NOT ME,previous owner! im happy with it!Plus i got a extended warranty until 75k miles!
yeah, and you only paid $10,000. If your story is true Man you lucked out.

You should be fine. with that many miles it would have started it already.

Mostly stock, just the free stuff and minor bolt-ons.Last winter I ran an 8.5 in the 8th with a lid,FRA,and cut-out on the stock exhaust. My tires REALLY suck, they aren't even Z rated Recently I have done the following:
-Dynomax 3" race welded catback
-SLP MAF ends
-!EGR mod
-TB Bypass
-Subframe connectors
-STB
-Taylor 10mm wires
-Rapidfire plugs
-IRS lower control arms
-Hotchkis adjustable panhard rod
I am going to Germany for 90 days and when I get back I will have Hooker LT's,slicks or drag radials(I have an extra set of wheels), and a 3200 TC.I hope to get down to at least a 7.8 or 7.9 consistantly and then spray a little N2O

18500 on mine and unless it is real cold, my Z is pretty quiet (except for some occasional valve train chatter). I dont like driving my car when the motor is cold so maybe that 30 seconds of warm up does something ... or my car is less broke than others. ..
